1. Customer, who newly opens a Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account with initial deposit of HK$10,000 from now till 30 June 2010 (the “Promotion Period”), will be entitled to a free Doraemon Mug Set. Customer must maintain the initial deposit at the respective account for the 1st month from account opening date. Otherwise, MEVAS Bank (the “Bank”) reserves the right to debit handling charges of HK$300 from the respective account without prior notice. This offer is only applicable to customer who does not maintain any MEVAS Plus Account in the past 6 months.
2. Customer, who places a “Privileged HKD Fixed Deposit account”—“Step-up Interest Rate” Series with new fund between HK$100,000 and HK$10,000,000 on or before 31 March 2010, is entitled to enjoy the above interest rate offer and an extra gift will be offered. Interest rate of 2.83% p.a. is based on The Bank HKD 12-month fixed deposit board rate of 0.33% p.a. + 2.50% p.a. as of 24 December 2009 and is for reference only. This offer is not applicable to Fixed Deposit account opened through e-Banking service. The fixed deposit board rate and the mark-up interest rate are subject to change according to the market environment. The interest rate offered to customers is based on the interest rate provided by the Bank during account opening. 3. During the Promotion Period, customer, who opens a 3-month HKD Fixed Deposit account with new fund between HK$100,000 and HK$10,000,000, is entitled to enjoy the above interest rate offer and an extra gift will be offered. The interest rate offered will be based on an interest rate markup of 0.10% p.a. on top of the Bank HKD 3-month fixed deposit board rate. The final interest rate is capped at the respective month's HIBOR + 0.1% p.a. This offer is not applicable to Fixed Deposit account opened through e-Banking service. The interest rate for subsequent fixed deposit renewals will be based on the prevailing interest rate offered by the Bank. 4. Customer, who successfully subscribes the designated Savings Protection Plans before 31 March 2010, is entitled to a maximum cash reward of HK$688 and an extra gift will be offered. Customers will receive the redemption letter(s) after the cooling off period. If customer cancels the policy during the cooling off period, no offers will be applied. Regarding the terms and conditions of the cooling off period, please refer to the letter enclosed with the policy. The above policy is underwritten by Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited. 5. Customer,, who opens Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account and securities account at the same time before 28 February 2010, is entitled to enjoy the Brokerage Fee offer and an extra gift will be offered. "$0 Securities Trading Brokerage Fee" is offered to customers in the first one month of the securities account opened from the securities account open date to the end of first month date, both dates inclusive. “$0 Securities Trading Brokerage Fee" offer is only applicable to trades conducted via internet, trades conducted via other channels are not eligible to this offer. There is no limit on the number of trades, while the maximum accumulated transaction amount is HK$5 millions. Customers who are eligible to "$0 Securities Trading Brokerage Fee" are required to pay brokerage fees upfront at the standard rate (0.25% of transaction amount, minimum HK$100). The waived brokerage amount will be reimbursed to customers’ settlement account in form of cash rebates within 2 months after the promotion period of "$0 Securities Trading Brokerage Fee" offer. 6. New fund are defined as fund newly deposited at the Bank, using a cheque drawn on other bank, inward CHATS or T/T during the Promotion Period and excluded fund transfer from the existing Dah Sing Bank / MEVAS Bank account.
7. Customer, who successfully opens a Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account, will receive the welcome gift redemption letter within 2 months after account opening; whereas the redemption letter(s) of the extra gift(s) (if applicable) will be sent within 2 months after the Promotion Period. Customer should bring along the original copy to designated redemption centre to redeem the extra gift(s). The Bank reserves the right to offer any alternative gift and replacement if the gift(s) are not available. There may be discrepancies between the gift and the photo displayed. The Bank is not the gift/cash coupon supplier and makes no representations or guarantees as to the quality of the products provided by the suppliers of the gift items/cash coupons in this promotional campaign. The gifts/cash coupons cannot be redeemed for cash. Any disputes or complaints in respect of the gifts/cash coupons should be directed to the supplier.
8. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel this programme at anytime without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
   

General Remarks:

3. Interest rate mark up for checking account up to 0.10% p.a. is only applicable to daily "Total Relationship Value" of HK$1,000,000 or above. Interest calculation is 365 days for HKD accounts. The Bank reserves the right to amend the special interest rate promotion at any time without prior notice.
   
4. Total Relationship Value" plan will automatically calculate an "Integrated Relationship Value" for you by summing up all the balances of your accounts with the Bank, including deposits, investments, loans, credit cards, mortgages and cash value of insurances. Simply maintain a daily average "Total Relationship Value" of HK$1,000,000 or above and your Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account will automatically earn an extra 0.1% p.a. interest rate during the subsequent month. The interest rate is capped by one-month HKD fixed deposit board rate or one-month Hong Kong Interbank Offer Rate (HIBOR) of MEVAS Bank, whichever is lower. Such interest rates will be applied to the Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account in the first working day of the following month.

6. The calculation of the daily average balance includes the balance of Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account, the deposit balance of other HKD / foreign currency deposit accounts and fixed deposits, Investment Accounts (including the latest market value of Investment Funds, Bonds / Notes, Securities and Investment Savings Plan and deposit/ investment amount of Structured Deposits, Callable Target Deposits, Currency-Linked Premium Deposits and Equity Linked Investment) and cash value of Life Insurance accounts. The account holder(s) of the above-mentioned accounts must be identical to that of the Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account.
   
7. If customers hold more than one Doraemon MEVAS Plus Account, the no-bounce cheque / autopay protection interest will be applicable to only one account (subject to Bank’s decision). Daily accrued simple interest at MEVAS HKD prime rate plus 5% p.a. will be incurred in no-bounce cheque / autopay protection, and is posted to the account on monthly basis.
   
8. The Bank reserves the right to amend the above deposit rates or the terms and conditions at anytime without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank is final and conclusive.
9. Should there be any discrepancy between the English version and Chinese version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
