Remarks:
  1. 0.10% interest rate mark up for checking account is the "Total Relationship Value" of HK$1,000,000 or above Interest calculation is 365 days for HKD accounts. MEVAS Bank reserves the right to amend the special interest rate promotion at any time without prior notice.
  2. Total Relationship Value" plan will automatically calculate an "Integrated Relationship Value" for you by summing up all the balances of your accounts with MEVAS Bank, including deposits, investments, loans, credit cards, mortgages and cash value of insurances. Simply maintain a daily average "Total Relationship Value" of HK$1,000,000 or above and your MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account will automatically earn an extra 0.1% p.a. interest rate during the subsequent month. The interest rate is capped by one-month HKD fixed deposit board rate or one-month Hong Kong Interbank Offer Rate (HIBOR) of MEVAS Bank, whichever is lower. Such interest rates will be applied to the MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account in the first working day of the following month.
  3. Special approval of Platinum card is only applicable to customers maintaining a net assets average amount equivalent to HK$250,000 or above (the "Required Amount") at the Bank. The average Required Amount will be set at the Bank's sole discretion and the calculation method is subject to the Bank's policy as determined from time to timeat its discretion. The Bank reserves the right to make the final decision on credit card approval without providing reason.
  4. MEVAS Principal Credit Card holder can enjoy first 3 years annual fee waiver. Thereafter, respective customers can still enjoy the perpetual annual fee waiver only if customers maintain valid MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account. If customers terminate a MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account for any reason, the perpetual annual fee waiver will be discontinued with immediate effect and without further notice.
  5. The calculation of the daily average balance includes the balance of MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account, the deposit balance of other HKD / foreign currency deposit accounts and fixed deposits, Investment Accounts (including the latest market value of Investment Funds, Bonds / Notes, Securities and Investment Savings Plan and deposit/ investment amount of Structured Deposits, Callable Target Deposits, Currency-Linked Premium Deposits and Equity Linked Investment) and cash value of Life Insurance accounts. The account holder(s) of the above-mentioned accounts must be identical to that of the MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account.
  6. If customers hold more than one MEVAS Plus High Interest Rate Account, the no-bounce cheque / autopay protection interest will be applicable to only one account (subject to Bank’s decision). Daily accrued simple interest at MEVAS HKD prime rate plus 5% p.a. will be incurred in no-bounce cheque / autopay protection, and is posted to the account on monthly basis.
  7. For details about "Total Relationship Value" Plan and other account-related fees, please refer to the MEVAS Bank Service Charges leaflet or contact any MEVAS Bank Branch.
  8. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel this programme at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  9. Should there be any discrepancy between the English version and Chinese version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
