My Favorite Merchant" Reward Program
  • First spend at your desired merchants with the brand new MEVAS Credit Card (the "Card"), then choose up to 5 merchants and honor them as "My Favorite Merchant". Upon successful registration, retail purchases at "My Favorite Merchant" will be entitled to "10X Cash RebateII (HK$10 Rebate for every HK$200 spending).
  • Easy Registration - Start from 1 July 2009, cardholders can log on to MEVAS e-Banking Service account and manage their "My Favorite Merchant" registration

My Favorite Merchant" Smart Tips
  1. Why can't I find my desired merchants on "My Favorite Merchant" Reward Program Registration Webpage?
    You should first spend at your desired “My Favorite Merchants” with the Card. Then, you can find that merchants on "My Favorite Merchant" Reward Program Registration Webpage after statement issuance.
  2. In the Registration Webpage, how long would the transaction records retain for me to choose from?
    Transaction records in the latest 3 monthly statement cycles will be shown in the Registration Webpage for cardholders to choose from.
  3. I purchased at one outlet of a chain-store. If I register it as "My Favorite Merchant", will I earn "10X Cash Rebate" at any other outlets of the same chain-store?
    "10X Cash Rebate" is applicable only to the outlets which you've spent and registered as "My Favorite Merchant". Transactions at other outlets of the same chain-store will not be entitled to the offer.
  4. Can I respectively register two (or more) outlets of the same chain-store as "My Favorite Merchant" for enjoying "10X Cash Rebate" at these outlets?
    Yes, you can register different outlets of the same chain-store to be "My Favorite Merchant". Each outlet is regarded as a single merchant. As such, you can register up to 5 outlets of a chain-store as "My Favorite Merchant".
  5. Is Octopus Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) eligible for "10X Cash Rebate"?
    "10X Cash Rebate" comprises "Basic Cash Rebate" and "Extra 9X Cash Rebate". Octopus AAVS is entitled to the former but not the latter.
  6. Is bill payment (e.g. public utility payments) eligible for "10X Cash Rebate"?
    "10X Cash Rebate" is applicable to retail purchases. Bill payment (including water, electricity and towngas fees) is not eligible to this offer.
  7. When can I start to register for "My Favorite Merchant"?
    You should first use your Card to spend. Upon receiving the first statement, you can log into the Bank's e-Banking Service page and visit "My Favorite Merchant" Registration Webpage to register / update the "My Favorite Merchant".
  8. If I initially registered 5 merchants and then replace it with 5 new merchants in the same month, can I earn "10X Cash Rebate" from all 10 registered merchants?
    "10X Cash Rebate" will be calculated on every month's statement day. The registration could be modified before statement day, but the Bank will calculate "10X Cash Rebate" based on the latest "My Favorite Merchant" registration at statement day only, i.e. maximum 5 merchants will be eligible for "10X Cash Rebate" each month.
  9. How long does it take for a new registration or an update to become effective? Is the "10X Cash Rebate" applicable only when a merchant is successfully registered?
    Update and new registration will be effective on the next working day. "10X Cash Rebate" will be calculated based on the effective registration on statement day and all transactions from the effective "My Favorite Merchants" in the month will be entitled to "10X Cash Rebate" (Rebate ceiling applies, please refer to relevant terms and conditions for details).
  10. When will the Cash Rebate credited to my Card account?
    Cash Rebate will be credited to Cardholder's account on the day after statement issuance.
